The night when Corso Roma lights up with music, lights, and flavours
In the heart of summer, Apricena — a town in the Capitanata area of the Foggia province, in the Alto Tavoliere at the gateway to the Gargano — experiences one of its most anticipated evenings: the White Night. For an entire night, the town centre stays awake and fills with lights, sounds, and scents: Corso Roma and the main squares become one large, open-air stage where residents and visitors from across the province gather until the early hours of the morning.
The White Night follows the format of great Apulian town festivals, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist. Along Corso Roma and in Piazzale Andrea Costa, live music and DJ sets alternate, while street performers — acrobats, jugglers, theatre and musical acts — guide the audience from one square to the next. Fairground rides, bouncy castles, and activities designed for children make the evening suitable for families, while shops remain open until late for a spot of shopping under the stars.
Food is the star of the show: street food stalls offer local Apulian specialities alongside gourmet options from all over Italy. Gastronomy is an integral part of the festival's identity, with tastings, refreshment points, and local products that showcase the Alto Tavoliere region, from wheat and olive oil to the famous stone of Apricena.
The White Night is one of the flagship events of the rich summer programme promoted by the Municipality of Apricena, which features dozens of events from June through to autumn each year. In recent years, the event has also been organised with the help of the creative team "I Matti di Notte", who have curated the concept and setup of the evening. It is a moment of collective celebration that unites the community and supports local businesses in the town centre, the true beating heart of the city.
The Apricena White Night returns on August 1, 2026, titled "White Night of Enchantment and Authentic Taste". The event is part of the rich summer programme of the Municipality of Apricena, which for 2026 includes dozens of events running through to autumn.
The main novelty of this edition is the first fish festival, which enriches the traditional gastronomic offerings of the evening. As every year, Corso Roma and the town centre will host music, shows, food stalls, and shops open until late at night.
The detailed programme, including artists and times, will be announced by the organisers in the weeks leading up to the event.
The detailed programme for the 2026 edition, including artists and evening times, has not yet been published by the organisers. The date of August 1, 2026 is confirmed, as is the title "White Night of Enchantment and Authentic Taste", with the introduction of the first fish festival alongside the street food stalls. This will be updated as soon as the line-up is announced.
Apricena is located in the Alto Tavoliere, in the province of Foggia. By car, it can be reached via the A14 motorway (Poggio Imperiale-Apricena or San Severo exit) and the SS16 road. The Apricena-Lesina railway station is served by the Adriatic line.
The heart of the festival is Corso Roma, along with Piazzale Andrea Costa and the central squares. The event area is pedestrianised: it is recommended to park in areas outside the centre.
Admission is free. The evening generally starts between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM and continues until late at night, with shops open and food stalls along the entire route.
