About Apolide Drops Bosco Sonoro

One of the most evocative stops of Apolide Drops, the zero-impact cultural festival of the Canavese region. At Bosco Sonoro, located on the ridge between the municipalities of Valchiusa and Rueglio at an altitude of 778 meters, music meets nature in a spot accessible only on foot via the new Sentiero della Poiana trail. An immersive experience of words, acoustic sounds, and sustainability in the pre-Alpine landscape of the Province of Turin.

Music and nature on the Canavese ridge

Apolide Drops - Bosco Sonoro is a highlight of the Aria (Air) strand of the Apolide Drops festival, a multidisciplinary cultural project dedicated to sustainability that travels through the Canavese region in the Province of Turin every year. The event takes place at Bosco Sonoro, a natural space at 778 meters above sea level, situated on the ridge bordering the municipalities of Valchiusa and Rueglio in the Canavese foothills.

The philosophy driving the entire festival is that of a culture that inhabits nature without consuming it: acoustic concerts, meetings, and outdoor activities in unconventional locations, far from traditional stages. Bosco Sonoro takes this principle to the extreme, as the event venue is accessible exclusively on foot.

The Sentiero della Poiana trail

To reach the concert, the audience follows the new Sentiero della Poiana, a hiking trail that connects the dirt road from Rueglio towards the Rifugio Bossola with the ridge where the Bosco Sonoro installation is located. The walk, an integral part of the experience, guides spectators in a slow and mindful approach to the music venue.

Sustainability and territory

The event is promoted by To Locals ETS, with the support of the GAL Valli del Canavese and the collaboration of the Consorzio Forestale del Canavese. The zero-impact philosophy is reflected in every detail: from sustainable mobility to the food and wine service, entrusted to tourism operators from the Soana Valley and the Giovani Vignaioli Canavesani, who offer local products and wines.

An experience among the Canavese valleys

Apolide Drops is divided into three thematic strands — Aria (environmental sustainability, at high altitudes and in natural settings), Terra (territorial sustainability, in villages and communities), and Scena (social sustainability, through theater) — and touches various locations in the Canavese, from high-altitude plains to the castles of Ivrea. The Bosco Sonoro stop represents the heart of the Aria strand and is one of the most beloved offerings for the public, who see the effort of the climb and the silence of the woods as an essential part of the listening experience.

Apolide Drops Bosco Sonoro — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Apolide Drops brings the public to Bosco Sonoro for the first time, on the ridge between Valchiusa and Rueglio, for an acoustic concert immersed in nature at 778 meters, accessible only on foot via the new Sentiero della Poiana trail.

The Bosco Sonoro stop is one of the events in the Aria strand of Apolide Drops 2026, the fifth edition of the zero-impact cultural festival of the Canavese. For the first time, the festival reaches this natural space on the border between the municipalities of Valchiusa and Rueglio, in the Province of Turin. The audience arrives on foot along the new Sentiero della Poiana, in a slow approach that is part of the experience. The event is free with mandatory booking.
