The De.Co. anolino festival in the heart of Fiorenzuola d'Arda
The Anolino Festival celebrates one of the symbols of Emilian cuisine: anolino, a small stuffed pasta served in boiling broth, which in the Val d'Arda has always been the dish for special occasions, from Christmas lunch to family parties. In Fiorenzuola d'Arda, in the heart of the province of Piacenza, anolino has even become a De.Co. (Denominazione Comunale) product, a recognition that protects its recipe and its link to the territory.
For an entire weekend, the historic center of Fiorenzuola comes alive between Piazza Molinari, Piazza Caduti, and Corso Garibaldi. Along the streets of the center, you'll find food stalls where you can taste traditional anolino, as well as reinterpretations by great chefs, open shop windows, stalls with typical products, and local crafts. The festival thus combines the conviviality of a village fair with the appeal of haute cuisine.
One of the distinctive features of the event is the presence of chefs from the Chef to Chef Emilia-Romagna association, who offer original interpretations of anolino. Over the years, the festival has hosted well-known faces from television cooking and in-depth discussions, such as the conference dedicated to the agri-food supply chain and the skilled hands that pass down the recipe. Food culture intertwines with the promotion of the territory and the Val d'Arda.
In addition to gastronomy, the program includes live music, tribute bands, entertainment, and evening DJ sets in the squares, exhibitions of De.Co. and quality products, and initiatives by local traders. It is an event designed for everyone, from families to gourmets, making Fiorenzuola the capital of anolino in Emilia-Romagna for an entire spring weekend.
Born in 2017, the Anolino Festival is organized by the Municipality of Fiorenzuola d'Arda together with the Pro Loco, the Vetrine in Centro association, and with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Year after year, it has become one of the most anticipated food and wine events in the province of Piacenza.
The 2026 Anolino Festival animated the historic center of Fiorenzuola d'Arda from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd, with free admission and paid dishes at the stalls. The De.Co. anolino of the Val d'Arda, also available in a gluten-free version, was the absolute protagonist, alongside reinterpretations by the chefs of Chef to Chef Emilia-Romagna and an exhibition of typical products.
The event was organized by the Municipality of Fiorenzuola d'Arda with the Pro Loco, the Vetrine in Centro association, and Chef to Chef, under the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The reinterpretations of anolino by the chefs of Chef to Chef Emilia-Romagna (including Emilio Barbieri, Mario Ferrara, Claudio Cesena, and Matteo Salbaroli), the conference at the Teatro Verdi on the anolino supply chain, and the musical evenings with DJ sets in Piazza Caduti.
Fiorenzuola d'Arda can be reached by car from the A1 Milan-Bologna motorway (Fiorenzuola exit) or along the Via Emilia, halfway between Piacenza and Parma. By train, Fiorenzuola d'Arda station is on the Milan-Bologna line, a few minutes' walk from the historic center.
The events are concentrated in the historic center: Piazza Molinari, Piazza Caduti, Corso Garibaldi, and the Teatro Verdi.
Admission to the event is free. Consumption at the food stalls (anolino dishes, typical products, drinks) is paid.
