A summer series of open-air concerts in Lagundo

The Algunder Konzertsommer is the open-air concert series that brings the Festplatz in Lagundo (known as Algund in German) to life every summer. This charming town in the Burgraviato district, located just a short distance from Merano in the Province of Bolzano (South Tyrol), hosts the event. During the summer months, the festival grounds near Hans-Gamper-Platz turn into an impressive stage under the open sky, where renowned artists and established bands deliver unforgettable live music evenings.

A program for every taste

The lineup, curated by The Showtime Agency in collaboration with the Lagundo Tourist Board, ranges from intimate ballads to high-energy rock, and from major tributes to international icons. Each evening is designed as a unique event, attracting audiences from across the Merano basin and the surrounding valleys.

The 2026 Edition

The 2026 program features three high-impact concerts at the Festplatz in Lagundo:

• July 18, 2026 – Viva La Vida, a tribute show to Coldplay;
• July 31, 2026 – Xavier Rudd, the internationally acclaimed Australian artist who blends folk, rock, and reggae in his signature "one-man-band" style (starts at 8:00 PM);
• August 29, 2026 – Symphonika on the Rock, a musical journey through the greatest hits of Queen, AC/DC, Scorpions, Guns N' Roses, Deep Purple, and Europe, featuring a symphonic rock orchestra and live band.

The setting: Lagundo and the Merano summer

Nestled among the vineyards and apple orchards that climb toward Mount San Vigilio, Lagundo is a bilingual town in the heart of South Tyrol, appreciated for its mild climate and proximity to Merano. The festival is part of a rich summer calendar of events that makes the area an ideal destination for combining holidays, nature, and culture, with open-air concerts being among the most anticipated moments of the season.

How it works

The concerts take place outdoors and generally proceed regardless of weather conditions. Tickets are available for advance purchase at Athesia bookstores and online via TicketOne. The Festplatz is equipped with access ramps and facilities for visitors with disabilities.
