In the town of Amaseno, located in the province of Frosinone in southern Lazio, the Agriculture Festival – Ai Love Bufala has become a staple of the Ciociarian summer. Born in the 1990s as a local fair dedicated to buffalo mozzarella, it has grown over the years into a true celebration of the buffalo supply chain and the agricultural identity of the Amaseno Valley, a land of historic farms and dairies. The 2026 edition, the 27th, takes place from Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, July 26th, with its traditional headquarters at the local sports field.

The buffalo, queen of the territory

The common thread of the event is the water buffalo and everything that revolves around it: mozzarella and dairy products, as well as meat, livestock farming, and field work. Food stalls offer dishes strictly based on buffalo products, from freshly stretched mozzarella to local peasant specialties. Free guided tours of farms and dairies allow visitors to discover firsthand how buffalo mozzarella is made, featuring live stretching demonstrations that are a major hit with guests.

Tractors, horses, and rural traditions

Ai Love Bufala is not just about gastronomy: it is, above all, a celebration of the agricultural world. On Saturday morning, the tractors take center stage with a parade and the blessing of agricultural machinery following Holy Mass—a ritual that unites the town's religious and rural dimensions. The event also features trailer-pulling contests, quad and Vespa rallies, countryside walks, and the 'Fattoria Biodiversa' (Biodiverse Farm) dedicated to families and children.
