Siror's Summer Festival

The Agostarola Pork Fest is the quintessential summer celebration in Siror, a village within the municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Born from a desire to keep local gastronomic traditions alive, the festival draws both residents and tourists from the Primiero Valley for an evening defined by conviviality, mountain flavors, and live music.

The Star Attraction: Porchetta

As the name suggests, the signature dish is the oven-roasted porchetta, prepared by the volunteers of the Comitato Tradizione e Cultura di Siror according to a traditional recipe. The food stalls also serve savory luganeghe sausages, steaming polenta, beans, cheese, fries, and desserts—a simple, hearty menu that tells the story of this corner of the Dolomites.

Music and Atmosphere

The evening is brought to life by live music. Recent editions have featured the Tirataie, a band from Belluno known for their energetic folk'n'roll repertoire that keeps the crowd dancing late into the night. Guests can dine outdoors at tables set up in the Civic Center square or inside the facility, providing shelter from the cool mountain air.

The Agostarola is part of the rich August calendar of the Primiero Valley, which includes events like "En girò par i Filò" in Tonadico and the Alpine Guides Festival in San Martino di Castrozza. The festival is entirely managed by the Comitato Tradizione e Cultura di Siror, whose volunteers dedicate their time every summer to organize the event.
