Agnolotto Festival

A festival dedicated to the agnolotto in Bollengo

In the heart of the Canavese region, at the foot of the Serra Morenica of Ivrea, the municipality of Bollengo (province of Turin, Piedmont) hosts the Agnolotto Festival, a traditional village feast dedicated to one of the most beloved local culinary specialties. The Piedmontese agnolotto—hand-folded stuffed pasta served with roast meat sauce—is the true star of the evening, prepared according to traditional rural recipes.

Typical cuisine and a convivial atmosphere

The festival is organized by the Pro Loco Bollengo, a local promotion association founded in 1994 by a group of young volunteers, which has since enlivened village life with food and wine events and celebrations. Under the guidance of the Pro Loco, the festival area transforms into a great meeting point for the residents of Bollengo and neighboring towns, with long tables, food stalls, and the aroma of freshly prepared agnolotto.

Music and dancing for everyone

Beyond the culinary experience, the Agnolotto Festival offers an evening of entertainment: the rhythms of Caribbean dancing and 90s music accompany the dinner, turning the event into a social occasion for families, young people, and the young at heart. It is the essence of a Piedmontese village festival, where good food meets music and the joy of being together.

Bollengo and the Canavese region

Located in an area rich in history and tradition, Bollengo is also known for its historical heritage, such as the Romanesque church of San Pietro (the famous "Gesiun"), and for the vineyard landscapes of the Morainic Amphitheater of Ivrea. The Agnolotto Festival is part of a calendar of events organized by the Pro Loco throughout the year, from the Patronal Feast of Saint Eusebius to summer activities in the town square.
