A tutta banda, the youth band festival of Pergine
A tutta banda is a band festival dedicated to youth ensembles that brings the Teatro Comunale of Pergine Valsugana, in the province of Trento, to life every year in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Organized by the Banda Sociale di Pergine Valsugana under the artistic direction of Maestro Claudio Dorigato, it is the longest-running event of its kind in the region: established in the late nineties, it has surpassed twenty editions, showcasing generations of young instrumentalists on stage.
Youth bands take center stage
The heart of the festival lies in the youth groups of Trentino's bands: each edition brings together three or more ensembles from the Valsugana, Tesino, Val di Cembra, and other valleys of Trentino. Guided by their respective conductors, the young musicians perform a varied program ranging from traditional marches to film scores, and from classical repertoire to modern sounds. It is a precious opportunity to highlight the work of band music schools and introduce younger audiences to the world of wind instruments.
An afternoon (or evening) of music at the Teatro Comunale
The festival takes place in the welcoming Teatro Comunale in Piazza Garibaldi, the cultural hub of the town of Pergine Valsugana. In recent editions, the event has returned to its original single-day format to concentrate all performances and maximize the opportunity for young band members to share music and friendship. The atmosphere is that of a traditional village band feast: familiar, engaging, and open to all, with free admission.

The twenty-ninth edition of A tutta banda was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Teatro Comunale of Pergine Valsugana (Piazza Garibaldi), starting at 8:30 PM. Three youth band ensembles from Trentino performed on stage.

How to get there
The Teatro Comunale is located in Piazza Garibaldi, in the historic center of Pergine Valsugana. By car: take the A22 motorway to the Trento Nord exit, then follow the SS47 Valsugana road towards Pergine (approx. 15 km from Trento). By train: the Pergine Valsugana station is served by the Trento-Venice Valsugana line and is just a few minutes' walk from the theater.
