Five days of fine crafts and music in the heart of Mondovì Piazza
The Artistic Craftsmanship Exhibition in Mondovì is one of the longest-running and most beloved events in the Cuneo region. Now in its 58th edition in 2026, every mid-August it transforms the upper district of Mondovì Piazza, in the municipality of Mondovì, into a large open-air workshop dedicated to the arts and crafts. The setting is the spectacular historic center, characterized by Baroque palaces, porticoes, and panoramic views over the valleys of southern Piedmont.
The 2026 edition takes place from Thursday, August 13th to Monday, August 17th, spanning the Ferragosto holiday. The exhibition route winds along Via Gallo, the ascent and Belvedere gardens, and Via Vitozzi, encompassing the entire Piazza district. The exhibitors—over one hundred artisans and artists from all over Italy—bring the streets and palaces of the historic center to life with their temporary workshops.
Alongside the exhibition, the event offers a busy evening calendar of concerts, street art, and performances. In recent editions, the program has featured a mix of singer-songwriter music, comedy, Balkan rhythms, and world music, with artists hosted in the district's squares and courtyards. The detailed schedule for the 58th edition will be published on the official website in the weeks leading up to the event.
Located in the heart of the Piedmontese summer, the exhibition has been the main tourist attraction of Ferragosto in Mondovì for decades: it combines the promotion of fine crafts with the discovery of the architectural heritage of the Piazza district, which can also be reached by the historic funicular connecting the lower city to the historic center. An opportunity to experience the artisan and cultural identity of the Monregalese area in just a few days.
The 58th Artistic Craftsmanship Exhibition returns to Mondovì from Thursday, August 13th to Monday, August 17th, 2026, in the historic Piazza district. The exhibition route encompasses Via Gallo, the ascent and Belvedere gardens, and Via Vitozzi, with over one hundred exhibitors of ceramics, textiles, wood, and metal.
