A festival spread across the villages of the Piana di Navelli

Wonders at Your Fingertips is a summer cultural festival that takes place from July to September in the evocative Piana di Navelli, in the province of L'Aquila, in the heart of the Abruzzo hinterland. The festival unites seven municipalities on the plateau — Navelli (lead partner), Caporciano, San Pio delle Camere, Prata d'Ansidonia, Castelvecchio Calvisio, Collepietro, and San Benedetto in Perillis — in a single program that weaves together music, performance, art, archaeology, and food and wine.

San Benedetto in Perillis, a village to rediscover

The small municipality of San Benedetto in Perillis, perched on the slopes of the L'Aquila plateau, is one of the villages involved in the event. The appointments are held in places that tell the story of the town's soul: the intimate Piazza Don Luigi Sturzo, the heart of community life, and the scenic Grotta Ipogea on Via Cisterna, an underground environment with unique acoustics that becomes a stage for evening concerts. Here, live music — from jazz to singer-songwriter tracks, from great cinema soundtracks to blues sounds — engages with the ancient stones and the silence of the village.

A rebirth project for the seismic crater

The festival was born as a territorial enhancement project funded by Restart funds, aimed at the socio-economic recovery of the L'Aquila seismic crater. The artistic proposal is curated in collaboration with the Società Aquilana dei Concerti "Bonaventura Barattelli", with the support of the Sarra Foundation and the Carispaq Foundation. The goal is to make culture a lever for development for small towns, attracting tourists and visitors in addition to the local public and restoring vitality to villages otherwise outside the major circuits.
