Con il Cuore nel nome di Francesco is the charity event organized by the Friars of the Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi (province of Perugia, in Umbria). It is a major concert broadcast live on Rai1, hosted by Carlo Conti, which annually transforms the parvis of the Basilica of Saint Francis into a unique stage, with the medieval church facade as its backdrop.
A Worldwide Fundraising Effort
The heart of the initiative is solidarity: the donations collected during and after the evening, via SMS and dedicated phone numbers, fund the charitable works of the Franciscan friars: from Franciscan soup kitchens in Italy to aid for populations affected by famines, epidemics, and wars in numerous countries around the world.

The 24th edition of Con il Cuore nel nome di Francesco takes place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 9:30 PM on the parvis of the Upper Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, in the year of the eighth centenary of the Saint's death.
The concert, hosted by Carlo Conti, is broadcast live on Rai1, Rai Radio1, and RaiPlay. The fundraising supports 23 charitable projects in 14 countries, from Franciscan soup kitchens in Italy to aid for populations affected by famines, epidemics, and wars, from Sudan to Lebanon, from Ghana to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
