Every autumn, the small village of Carbone, in the heart of the Serrapotamo Valley and the Pollino National Park, transforms into the capital of Lucanian white truffle. The White Truffle Market Exhibition of Serrapotamo, established in 2007 and now a fixture of autumn in the Province of Potenza, attracts thousands of visitors each year: the 2025 edition alone saw over 15,000 attendees, record numbers for a municipality of a few hundred inhabitants.
Three days of taste, nature, and culture
The event spans three days, intertwining food and wine, hiking, and entertainment. Food and wine stands offer truffle-based dishes and local products, while volunteers from the Truffle Hunters Association guide visitors on excursions to truffle grounds and truffle hunting in the Serrapotamo woods. There are also cooking shows with local chefs, guided tours of the historic center, and cultural moments. In the evening, the village comes alive with major concerts: in 2025, Nina Zilli and Krikka Reggae performed on stage.
Atmosphere and context
Carbone is a village of great charm, dominated by the mother church dedicated to Saint Luke the Abbot and nestled in the Pollino woods. The market exhibition is organized by the Municipality of Carbone together with the A.P.S. Tartufai del Serrapotamo E.T.S., with the support of the Basilicata Region, the Pollino National Park, and numerous partners. It is the perfect opportunity to experience Lucanian autumn in its richest form: amidst the intense aroma of truffles, the colors of the woods, and the warmth of a community that takes pride in this event.

After the record-breaking 2025 edition, the XIX edition of the White Truffle Market Exhibition of Serrapotamo is expected in Carbone between late October and early November 2026. The precise dates will be confirmed by the Municipality of Carbone and the Truffle Hunters Association of Serrapotamo in the coming weeks.
The event, held annually since 2007, will once again offer its successful formula of three days dedicated to the Lucanian white truffle, featuring food and wine stands, guided excursions to truffle grounds, cooking shows, cultural visits, and evening concerts.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition has not yet been published. It will be announced by the Municipality of Carbone and the A.P.S. Tartufai del Serrapotamo in the coming weeks.
Based on the XVIII edition (October 31 - November 2, 2025), the event typically unfolds over three days:
- Friday: inauguration and opening of food and wine stands in the afternoon, guided tour of the historic center, cooking show, and evening concert (in 2025, Krikka Reggae);
- Saturday: excursions to truffle grounds with volunteers from the Truffle Hunters Association, chestnut gathering in the woods, cultural meetings, and a major evening concert (in 2025, Nina Zilli);
- Sunday: final excursions and guided tours by reservation, with stands closing in the afternoon.

How to get there: Carbone is reached via the SS653 of the Sinni Valley, towards the Serrapotamo Valley, within the Pollino National Park.
