About We Termolesi

Every year, on the historic Scalinata del Folklore in the Old Town, the people of Termoli gather for a large collective group photo. Noi Termolesi – Scattiamoci una Foto brings together those who live in the city and those who have emigrated and return in the summer, in a symbolic embrace that celebrates belonging, roots, and the identity of a seaside community.

A Collective Embrace on the Scalinata del Folklore

Since 2013, Noi Termolesi – Scattiamoci una Foto has been the identity ritual that every summer brings together the inhabitants of Termoli (Province of Campobasso) on the historic Scalinata del Folklore, in the Old Town. The idea is simple and powerful: a large group photo that captures the entire community for an instant.

Those Who Stay and Those Who Return

The event, conceived by Tina Menadeo and Maurizio Perrotta, brings together resident Termolesi and those who have emigrated and return for the holidays from other cities or distant countries. It is a collective embrace between those who live Termoli every day and those who continue to feel it as home: "being from Termoli" as a visceral bond with the territory and the sea.

A Celebration of Identity

The photo represents belonging, identity, and roots that do not break. Among the protagonists of past editions were also symbolic figures of distant "termolesità" (being from Termoli), such as Mario Leny, author of "Termoli c'est la vie," a song that became a small anthem for those who carry the city in their hearts. A simple, free, and deeply felt moment, in the heart of the Termolese Summer.

We Termolesi — edition 2026

The fourteenth edition of Noi Termolesi – Scattiamoci una Foto is confirmed in the 2026 Termolese Summer program: on August 1st, at 7:00 PM, on the Scalinata del Folklore of the Old Town, the large collective group photo reuniting resident and emigrated Termolesi is renewed.

In 2026, Noi Termolesi – Scattiamoci una Foto returns to the Termolese Summer program, confirming its identity ritual. The appointment is on August 1st, at 7:00 PM, on the Scalinata del Folklore in the Old Town: a large collective group photo that brings together resident Termolesi and those who have emigrated, returning to the city for the summer. A simple and heartfelt moment, a symbol of belonging and the roots of the Termoli community.
