A diffused festival between Priamar and the Civic Market

WBE — WhyBioExperience is one of Savona's most characteristic spring events: not a single event, but a diffused festival that brings the theme of well-being and sustainability to several symbolic locations in the city. The Priamar Fortress, the Civic Market, and the squares of the historic center become a continuous path of experiences, meetings, and workshops open to all for several days.

Themes: well-being, nutrition, cosmetics, and environment

Born as «WHY BIO?», the festival has transformed into a true experiential hub revolving around four main areas: psycho-physical well-being, conscious nutrition, natural cosmetics, and issues of environment, ecology, and sustainability. The most recent edition chose the message «The Future is Now — Innovating to build a sustainable future» as its guiding theme, highlighting the link between daily choices and their impact on the planet.

Different spaces and formats

The program is divided into multiple environments, each with its own format: the Urban Lab in Piazza Sisto IV for conferences, talks, and workshops; discussion spaces in the atrium and halls of the Town Hall; and the Lab Experience at the Civic Market, dedicated to cooking shows and practical workshops. Completing the picture are outdoor attractions and entertainment that liven up the center of Savona.

Promoted with the support of the Municipality of Savona, WBE has become a reference point for those in Liguria interested in healthy lifestyles, natural products, and ecological transition. Its diffused format also makes it an opportunity to rediscover corners of Savona's historic center, in the province of Savona, in a setting that combines culture, health, and social interaction.
