A walk among the stars and vineyards of Dozza

The Walk Under the Stars is now an anticipated event of the Dozza June calendar: a non-competitive, open-to-all evening walk that winds through the streets of the village and the gentle hills surrounding Dozza, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy in the province of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. Walking at sunset, with the sky lighting up with stars above the Colli d'Imola vineyards, offers a evocative experience accessible to families, athletes, and the simply curious.

Meeting in Piazza Zotti and hilly route

The meeting point is set at Piazza Carlo Zotti, in the historic center at the foot of the Rocca Sforzesca. After welcoming the participants, the group sets off at dusk along a medium-difficulty hilly route, designed to be tackled at a relaxed pace, enjoying the valley views and the evening atmosphere. Comfortable clothing, light trekking shoes, and a small flashlight are recommended.

The welcome of the Arzdore of Dozza

The most convivial moment arrives upon return: the Arzdore of Dozza, the guardians of Romagna's gastronomic tradition, welcome the walkers with local specialties, typical products, regional wines, and music. It's the best way to end the evening, amidst authentic flavors, stories, and social interaction, values that have always animated the community of the Municipality of Dozza.

A charity event

The Walk Under the Stars is not just a celebration: it is above all an initiative of solidarity. Registration is by free donation, and the funds raised are used to support local health projects, particularly the acquisition and operation of a mammography machine for the Community House of Castel San Pietro Terme and Dozza, benefiting breast cancer screening promoted by the AUSL of Imola. Over the years, the event has successfully combined physical well-being with a concrete gesture of care for the community.

Organization and local tradition

The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Dozza Città d'Arte with the fundamental collaboration of the Municipality of Dozza, carrying on the legacy of the group of volunteers who for years promoted the charity walk. It is an event that reflects the spirit of the village: art, nature, good food, and care for others, in one of the most characteristic realities of Emilia-Romagna.
