Theater in the heart of Vittoria

The Vittoria Colonna Theater Season is the cultural highlight that, from January to April, fills the seats of the historic Teatro Comunale Vittoria Colonna, located in Piazza del Popolo in the heart of Vittoria, a Baroque city in the province of Ragusa, Sicily. The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Vittoria and reinforces the city's role as a cultural hub for the Iblean area.

Artistic direction for prose

The 2025/2026 season is under the artistic direction of Tiziana Bellassai, in collaboration with the Compagnia G.o.D.o.T. of Ragusa. The program is curated to blend prose theater, great repertoire classics, new writing, and a special focus on young audiences, featuring recognized artists and companies.

The prose program

The season opens on January 10, 2026, with Caro Carosello, a production by the Neapolitan cooperative Tam Tam, followed on February 7 by La Creatura del Desiderio. Among the most anticipated events are Archimede featuring Mario Incudine (April 15, 2026), which brings the great Syracusan genius back to the stage, and Manca solo Mozart (April 21, 2026), which closes the season. The program is completed by titles such as Gran Varietà by the G.o.D.o.T. company, Il mio primo Eduardo, and Driving Miss Daisy (A spasso con Daisy).

Children's theater

A section dedicated to younger audiences supports families and schools: L'amore di Papageno e Papagena (February 1, 2026), A Piede Libero with the living sculptures of Laura Kibel (February 15, 2026), and La vera storia de La Bella Addormentata (March 29, 2026), the latter two produced by the G.o.D.o.T. company.

Tickets and season passes

The pricing policy is designed to be accessible to everyone: single tickets range from 10 to 20 euros depending on the section (stalls, first and second-tier boxes, third and fourth-tier boxes), while season passes for the entire prose series start at 65 euros and go up to 130 euros for the stalls. The theater has a capacity of approximately 300 seats.

The Teatro Vittoria Colonna has been the cornerstone of the city's cultural life for years: the prose season renews the bond between the Vittoria audience and great theater every year, alternating well-known faces from the Sicilian and national scene with productions that showcase the talent of the Iblean territory. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the historic center of Vittoria even during the winter months.
