A Summer Review in the Heart of Val Nure

The Cultural Summer of Vigolzone, also known as Under the Stars in Piazza Castello, is the main summer event of the Municipality of Vigolzone, a small village in Val Nure in the province of Piacenza, in Emilia-Romagna. For over a month, between June and July, the scenic Piazza Castello transforms into an open-air stage that hosts performances, screenings, and concerts, all free of charge.

The 2026 Program

The 2026 edition runs from June 5th to July 11th with a schedule that alternates different artistic languages. The evenings start at 9:00 PM and feature in particular:

• Dance performances by local schools and associations, with exhibitions ranging from classical to modern, from hip hop to heels style;
• Open-air cinema, with screenings of recent films on summer evenings;
• Live music and entertainment moments;
• Theatre and performances by local companies.

Among the entities animating the review are dance associations from the Piacenza area, such as Movie Art and Il Nuovo Balletto Ducale, which over the years have brought thematic choreographies to the square, appreciated by audiences of all ages.

A Local Event

The Cultural Summer is promoted by the Municipality of Vigolzone in collaboration with local associations, including AVIS, Pro Loco, the Teatro Instabile group, and cultural entities working for the development of the territory. The free-entry format reflects the community-oriented nature of the event, designed to offer opportunities for meeting and cultural growth to the inhabitants of the town and neighboring municipalities in the province of Piacenza.
