Podenzano Beer Festival

A Village Festival in the Heart of Val Nure

The Beer Festival of Podenzano is one of the most cherished summer events in the Piacenza plains. Organized by the Pro Loco of Podenzano with the patronage of the Municipality, it takes place every year in June in the green spaces of the Municipal Sports Centre on Via Giuseppe Ghisoni, a few kilometres from the provincial capital. For three consecutive evenings, the sports centre is transformed into a large festival space, where fresh draught beer meets good local cuisine and live music.

Beer, Grills, and Piacenza Specialties

The heart of the festival are the food stalls, open every evening from 7:00 PM. The offerings combine the great classics of summer festivals with typical Piacenza traditional dishes: from pisarei e fasò to mixed cured meats, from grilled meat to salamella, including fried gnocco, pork shanks, skewers, and the ever-present French fries. Accompanying everything, of course, is a rich selection of draught beers of various brands, served cold for the warm June evenings.

Live Music Every Evening

Each evening of the festival is enlivened by live concerts on the main stage, with bands and tributes ranging from light music to rock, from comic-demential repertoire to covers of Italian hits. Music is the common thread of the event, designed to make audiences of all ages dance and sing, in a convivial atmosphere typical of Emilia-Romagna village festivals.

A Tradition for the Entire Community

More than just a gastronomic event, the Beer Festival is a moment of aggregation for the entire community of Podenzano and the surrounding municipalities in the province of Piacenza. Admission is free and the large car park at the sports centre makes the festival easily accessible. It is the ideal opportunity to spend a summer evening in company, enjoying a beer and a plate of cured meats, listening to good music outdoors.

When It Takes Place

The event traditionally takes place in mid-June, over three days from Friday to Sunday. For the 2026 edition, the dates are set from June 19th to 21st, always at the Municipal Sports Centre of Podenzano.
