Vigor Festival

A Village Festival in the Heart of Val Chero

The Vigor Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in Carpaneto Piacentino, a municipality in the province of Piacenza, in Emilia-Romagna. The event takes place in the hamlet of Chero, a small village in Val Chero, and enlivens the local Sports Field for seven evenings, transforming it into the gathering point for the entire community and surrounding villages.

Seven Evenings of Music, Flavors, and Fun

The heart of the festival are the food stalls, where you can taste traditional Piacenza dishes and specialties prepared by the association's volunteers. Every evening, the program features live music, shows, themed evenings, and a large outdoor dance floor, suitable for all ages. To crown the celebrations, there's the traditional fireworks display, an eagerly awaited moment that lights up the Val Chero sky.

The Tradition of the Plum Festival and the Beer Festival

The Vigor Festival carries on the legacy of two historic Chero events: the Plum Festival, linked to the typical cultivation of the area, and the Beer Festival. The calendar also includes the Plum Walk, a non-competitive 11 km and 6 km walk starting from the Sports Field, which attracts enthusiasts and families through the hills and orchards of the valley.

Community Spirit and Organization

The event is organized by ASD Carpaneto Chero, a sports club born from the merger of the historic Vigor and Chero, which gives the festival its name. The event is entirely supported by the work of volunteers and represents a valuable opportunity to fund youth sports activities in the area, in a climate of authentic village conviviality.
