Three evenings of tradition, music, and local flavors in the Vignola district of Tufino
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Vignola in Festa is the summer event that brings Vignola to life every year. Located in Tufino, a small town of just over three thousand inhabitants in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania, this is not a large-scale regional festival, but something rarer: a grassroots celebration created by the residents for the residents. For three nights, the streets and squares of the district are transformed into a shared meeting space. The organization is handled by the SS. Madonna delle Grazie Committee, a group of volunteers who raise funds, set up the stage, and manage every detail of the program.
The event is deeply rooted in the devotion to the Santissima Madonna delle Grazie, whose liturgical feast day traditionally falls on July 2nd, which is why the festival takes place in the very first days of the month. As in much of Southern Italy, the religious and secular aspects coexist seamlessly: the community's faith naturally extends into a collective celebration, where music, food, and the town square become the secular continuation of prayer.
The heart of the program is the stage. Recent editions have featured artists from the Neapolitan and neomelodic music scene, with shows typically starting around 9:00 PM and continuing late into the night. The 2025 edition featured performances by Antonio Manganiello, Rina, and the Paky Piano Live Show, while the closing night saw Tony Barletta, Fabiana, and Anthony take the stage. The repertoire is one the local audience knows by heart and sings along to, creating a participatory atmosphere far removed from the distance between artist and audience found at large-scale events.
Alongside the music, gastronomy plays a leading role. The festival hosts a food fair with stalls dedicated to traditional local dishes. For several years now, it has featured a signature event: the evening dedicated to 'O Cuzzetiello', the famous Neapolitan sandwich made from the end of a loaf of bread and stuffed with ragรน, meatballs, or other traditional home-cooked delicacies. The second edition was celebrated in 2025, accompanied by live music.
Tufino sits at about 91 meters above sea level on the edge of the Nola plain, bordering Cicciano, Comiziano, Casamarciano, Roccarainola, and Avella (in the province of Avellino). In addition to Vignola, the municipal territory includes the districts of Risigliano and Schiava. The town's patron saint is Saint Bartholomew, celebrated on August 24th with a separate event; the Tufino summer is thus divided into several appointments, with Vignola in Festa ideally opening the season in early July.
As of the update of this page, the 2026 calendar has not yet been released by the Committee. Based on previous editions, the event is expected in early July, following the traditional three-evening format. The detailed program, including dates, times, and musical guests, is usually released a few weeks in advance through the Committee's social media channels and the local Nola press: it is advisable to verify information before traveling.
As of the update of this page, the official dates for the 2026 edition of Vignola in Festa have not yet been announced. The event is organized by the SS. Madonna delle Grazie Committee in the Vignola district of Tufino, in the Metropolitan City of Naples.
The historical reference remains early July, coinciding with the liturgical memory of the Madonna delle Grazie: in 2025, the festival took place from July 3rd to 6th over three evenings. The established formula includes concerts by artists from the Neapolitan scene, a food fair with traditional local dishes, and the evening dedicated to 'O Cuzzetiello'.
As soon as the Committee publishes the official poster, this page will be updated with the complete program, times, and guest names. Until then, it is recommended to check for information on the Committee's social media channels or in the local press before planning your visit.
By train: The reference station is Roccarainola-Tufino, on the Circumvesuviana NaplesโBaiano line (departures from Naples Porta Nolana and Naples Piazza Garibaldi, about a one-hour journey). From the station, the Vignola district can be reached in a few minutes by car.
By car: Tufino is located on the Nola plain, a short distance from the Nola and Cicciano highway exits; from Naples, it takes approximately 40-50 minutes. The Vignola district is signposted by local road signs.
As with most village festivals in Campania, access to the shows and street events is free of charge; you only pay for what you consume at the food stalls. There are no advance sales or ticket offices.
