The Viadana Carnival
The Viadana Carnival, known as Mask Loco, is the Carnival event of the Municipality of Viadana, in the Province of Mantua. Organized by Pro Loco Viadana, it enlivens the historic center with a parade of allegorical floats and a day of celebration for all ages.
The float parade
The heart of the event is the parade of allegorical floats, which starts from Piazza Marconi and crosses the historic center in a colorful procession of creative masks and elaborate floats. Accompanying the parade are music, confetti, and the festive atmosphere typical of Carnival.
Entertainment in the square
In Piazza Manzoni, side activities are concentrated, designed especially for children: entertainment, face painting, and refreshment stands. A free admission event that invites adults and children to participate in costume, confirming itself as one of the most cherished events of the Viadana winter in the Bassa Mantovana region.
Viadana Carnival — edition 2026
The Viadana Carnival - Mask Loco 2026 takes place on Saturday, February 21, starting at 2:30 PM. The parade of allegorical floats starts from Piazza Marconi and crosses the historic center with a procession of creative masks and spectacular scenery.
In Piazza Manzoni, side activities are set up: entertainment, face painting, and refreshment stands. In case of rain, the event is postponed to Saturday, February 28, 2026.
