In Lanzada, in the Province of Sondrio, in the heart of Valmalenco, the hamlet of Vetto is an ancient mountain village linked to the tradition of the magnan, the travelling coppersmiths who once repaired pots and copper objects by going from town to town. It is in this historic centre of stone houses that the Sagra di Vetto comes to life every summer, a festival that blends gastronomy, memory, and mountain identity.

The flavours of Valtellina

The protagonist of the festival is the typical Valtellina cuisine, with its most beloved dishes: pizzoccheri, buckwheat pasta with savoy cabbage, potatoes, and cheese; sciatt, the typical buckwheat fritters filled with melted cheese; and bresaola, the symbolic cured meat of the valley. A genuine offering that tells the story of the region through its most authentic flavours.
