Two evenings of music, apericena, and passion for the Vespa in the hamlet of Coenzo
Vespe Contadine is a summer event held in the hamlet of Coenzo, part of the Municipality of Sorbolo Mezzani, in the plains of the province of Parma, in Emilia-Romagna. The event, organized by the ANSPI "Enzo Soncini" Club with the patronage of the Municipality of Sorbolo Mezzani, intertwines two great popular passions: the historic Piaggio scooter and the conviviality of Emilia's village festivals.
The common thread of the festival is the revival of the seventies: music, clothing, and imagery from that decade provide the backdrop for two evenings designed for all ages. Guests are encouraged to wear outfits inspired by those years to fully immerse themselves in the vintage atmosphere that characterizes the event. The Vespa, an enduring symbol of Italian lifestyle, becomes the pretext for gathering, dancing, and recounting a piece of the country's history.
The program is spread over two days. The first evening opens with the apericena (pre-dinner drinks and snacks) and continues with musical entertainment provided by a DJ set dedicated to the great dance classics and seventies and eighties themed tracks. The second evening features an outdoor dinner followed by "Vespe Fashion Evolution," a fashion show dedicated to the evolution of style and fashion from the seventies to today, accompanied by music.
More than just a gathering, Vespe Contadine is an expression of Coenzo's community life and the social fabric of Sorbolo Mezzani. The festival stems from the voluntary commitment of the ANSPI Club and is rooted in the farmer's festivals that have enlivened this corner of the Bassa Parmense for years, along the banks of the Po River. Admission is free, in a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere that invites residents and visitors to share music, good food, and the unmistakable charm of the Vespa.
The 2026 edition of Vespe Contadine will take place on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, in Coenzo (Sorbolo Mezzani, PR).
The evening opens at 7:30 PM with the apericena, followed by musical entertainment by DJ Max Testa, who will play a selection of seventies and eighties themed tracks and great dance classics.
At 7:30 PM, the outdoor dinner is scheduled; from 9:30 PM, it's time for "Vespe Fashion Evolution," the fashion show dedicated to the evolution of style and fashion from the seventies to today, accompanied by music from DJ Frambo.
Vintage seventies-inspired clothing is encouraged for both evenings. Free admission.
