A rally that smells like spring

When the Valdinievole hills turn green again, it is time for Vespa in Ponte Buggianese (Pistoia province). The "In Vespa al Ponte" rally is the event that has officially opened the local Vespa season for over ten years. Organized directly by the Municipality of Ponte Buggianese together with the Vespa Club Il Ponte Mediceo, the rally is much more than a simple parade of vintage scooters: it is a popular festival that combines a passion for the Vespa icon with the discovery of the Tuscan landscape and good company.

A Sunday in the saddle through the Tuscan hills

The day follows a well-established script that is highly popular with participants. It all begins early in the morning with registration in Piazza IV Novembre, accompanied by a welcome breakfast. From there, the scenic tour departs: a colorful procession of Vespas of every era and model crosses the roads of the Valdinievole, with a stop in Fucecchio for an aperitif before returning. The day concludes with a social lunch at the Agriturismo Fattoria Settepassi, nestled in the local countryside, where awards are presented and the traditional raffle takes place.

An event for all of Tuscany

Over the years, the rally has grown to attract hundreds of Vespa riders and numerous Vespa Clubs from not only Tuscany but also outside the region. The awards celebrate the youngest and most experienced participants, the largest club, and the rider who traveled the furthest: small tokens of appreciation that reflect the authentic spirit of a close-knit community. For the town of Ponte Buggianese, the event also marks the beginning of the annual calendar of local festivities.
