Versilia Run Color

Five kilometers of color by the sea

The Versilia Run Color has become one of the most anticipated summer events on the Versilia coast. It is a 5-kilometer non-competitive fun run and walk that winds along the seafront of Lido di Camaiore, the seaside district of the municipality of Camaiore, in the province of Lucca. This is not a race against time: finishing first doesn't matter here—what counts is having fun together while passing through a cloud of colors at every station along the route.

The concept is simple and infectious: you start dressed in white and arrive transformed into an explosion of vibrant hues. Throughout the course, participants are showered with non-toxic colored powders, while music and entertainment accompany the entire walk until the finish line.

An event for the whole family

Versilia Run Color is designed for all ages: adults, teenagers, and children can participate, either solo or in groups. Children under 6 participate for free. The atmosphere is that of a large village festival brought to the seaside promenade, with the sun setting over the Tyrrhenian horizon as a backdrop.

The powders used are non-toxic, 100% eco-friendly, and EU-certified: they meet all EU standards and wash off skin, surfaces, and clothing after the first wash. The 52-micron particle size is specifically designed to prevent particles from entering the lungs, ensuring maximum safety for all participants.

The final party

The most spectacular moment happens upon returning to the square, where the run turns into a massive open-air party: live music and collective color throws involve all participants in an overwhelming finale. The second edition, held in August 2025, was a complete sell-out, confirming the growing success of this event.

A summer staple in Versilia

Organized by the SEI Versilia association, the event is part of the rich calendar of summer festivities in Versilia, the famous coastal strip of northern Tuscany that has always attracted tourists from all over Italy and abroad. The setting is Lido di Camaiore, one of the most popular seaside resorts in the province of Lucca, perfect for combining a beach vacation with an evening of sport, color, and joy.
