Nine nights of wine, music, and community in the heart of Salento
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Vecchia Torre Wine Festival is the most anticipated summer event in Leverano, a town in the province of Lecce in the heart of Salento. For nine nights, typically in the second half of July, the green grounds of the Cantina Vecchia Torre on Via Marche transform into a vibrant wine village, where tastings, live music, and authentic Salento cuisine blend into a unique popular celebration.
Cantina Vecchia Torre, a cooperative established in 1959 and a cornerstone of Salento viticulture, opens its doors to the public to share the deep bond between Leverano and its land. At the heart of the experience are tastings of the best Vecchia Torre labels—from Negroamaro and Malvasia-based wines to sparkling varieties—which are acclaimed across Europe, the United States, and Japan. These are paired with local specialties served at food stalls set up among the vineyard rows and the winery's green areas.
Each night of the festival features a unique musical program, ranging from Salento pizzica and traditional folk music to tribute bands and DJ sets, creating a calendar designed to get families, young people, and wine enthusiasts dancing and singing. The event is conceived as a community gathering that unites people, stories, and generations, highlighting the identity and culture of the Salento region.
The Vecchia Torre Wine Festival offers free admission, cementing its reputation over the years as one of the most popular food and wine festivals in Puglia. Leverano, also famous for its artisanal traditions and the historic Torre Federiciana, welcomes thousands of visitors every summer who choose the winery as a destination to discover the wines of Salento in a convivial atmosphere under the Apulian summer sky.
At the moment, Cantina Vecchia Torre has not yet published the official dates or the program for the 2026 edition of the Vecchia Torre Wine Festival. Historically, the festival takes place in Leverano (Lecce province) during the second half of July, offering nine nights of free admission dedicated to Vecchia Torre wines, traditional Salento music, and local products.
As soon as the organizers release the 2026 calendar and line-up, this page will be updated with all the information regarding the evenings, artists, and tastings.
