Half a century of handmade excellence in the medieval village of Anghiari
The Valtiberina Tuscany Craft Fair is one of the longest-running and most beloved events dedicated to manual craftsmanship in Italy. Established in the mid-seventies, it reached its 51st edition in 2026, confirming its status as a landmark for the sector not only in the municipality of Anghiari but for the entire Province of Arezzo and all of Tuscany. Every year, it welcomes thousands of visitors, including tourists, enthusiasts, and industry professionals.
The setting is the extraordinary village of Anghiari, in the Tuscan Valtiberina, listed among the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy' and famous for the historic Battle of Anghiari in 1440, immortalized by Leonardo da Vinci. The event involves the entire historic center: the cobblestone alleys, stairways, and squares of the village become a large open-air workshop, where every corner tells a story of artisanal tradition.
Over fifty artisans from Central Italy exhibit entirely handmade creations. Key categories include:
The Fair acts as a true cultural laboratory that weaves together tradition and modernity. Alongside the stands, a rich calendar of side events animates the village: art exhibitions, thematic displays, conferences dedicated to the future of artistic trades, masterclasses held by master craftsmen, and theatrical performances. It is an opportunity to discover the identity of the Valtiberina and the value of Italian know-how.
Strolling through Anghiari during the Craft Fair means immersing yourself in a unique atmosphere, where the art of the handmade dialogues with the beauty of a timeless Tuscan village. A free event open to all, ideal for families, the curious, and lovers of quality craftsmanship.
