The Vallarsa Choral Review is an evening dedicated to choral music that the Coro Pasubio of Vallarsa offers to its community every year in the municipality of Vallarsa, in the southern part of Trentino-Alto Adige. The event takes place in the Church of San Vigilio, whose intimate acoustics enhance the voices of the performing groups, gathering local and guest choirs from Trentino and the nearby Veneto region.
Founded in 1966 and based in the village of Raossi, the Coro Pasubio embodies the passion for singing of nearly two hundred choristers who have been part of the group over the decades. Since 1999, it has been directed by maestro Ivan Cobbe, author of numerous compositions that have become staples in the repertoire of many Italian choirs. The ensemble boasts a long concert history, several recordings, and a deep bond with the Vallarsa territory and the tradition of mountain singing.
The review alternates the Coro Pasubio and invited ensembles on stage, each with their own repertoire. The program ranges from traditional folk and mountain songs to choral arrangements of famous Italian songwriters. The evening is designed as a dialogue between different choral realities, offering the audience a wide range of styles and sensibilities.
With free admission, the Vallarsa Choral Review is a meeting point for the inhabitants of Vallarsa and choral music enthusiasts. The Church of San Vigilio fills up for an evening that combines spirituality, tradition, and conviviality, in line with the spirit that has animated the Coro Pasubio in the municipality of Vallarsa, in the province of Trento, for over half a century.
In 2026, the Coro Pasubio of Vallarsa celebrates its 60th anniversary, an occasion that marks the group's entire choral season. Regarding the Vallarsa Choral Review, as of today, the organizers have not yet released the official dates for the 2026 edition or the list of guest choirs. As in previous years, the evening is expected to take place at the Church of San Vigilio in the municipality of Vallarsa (TN), with free admission.
