About Val Comelico Roots Festival
A new festival in the heart of the Dolomites
The Val Comelico Roots Festival debuts in 2026 as a project to revitalize villages through music. It takes place in Comelico Superiore and its hamlets (province of Belluno), offering four days dedicated to "roots" sounds: blues, jazz, acoustic, and Italian and European singer-songwriters.
Music and territory together
Each event combines live concerts, guided excursions with alpine and environmental guides, thematic itineraries like the "Music Trail," and a Food & Drink area featuring the valley's gastronomic excellences. The formula brings great music to evocative locations such as the Terme di Valgrande, the square of Casamazzagno, and the Kral Ladin location.
Organization and PNRR support
The festival is promoted by the Val Comelico Tourist Consortium in collaboration with the Municipality of Comelico Superiore, with artistic direction by A-Z Blues. It is funded by the PNRR as part of the project "Unire, condividere, scoprire: una comunità che costruisce il proprio futuro includendo" (Unite, share, discover: a community building its future by including), supporting the revitalization of small Dolomite villages in the province of Belluno.
Val Comelico Roots Festival — edition 2026
The inaugural edition of the Val Comelico Roots Festival brings four days of live music to the villages of Comelico Superiore, all with free admission and starting at 12:00 PM. The program alternates blues, jazz, boogie, acoustic, and singer-songwriter genres, combining live concerts with guided excursions in the Dolomites and a gastronomic area with local products.

Each day includes guided excursions with alpine and environmental guides (booking by 5:00 PM the day before) and a Food & Drink area with local specialties.

How to get there
Comelico Superiore is located in the upper Val Comelico, Belluno Dolomites. The venues (Casamazzagno, Dosoledo, Terme di Valgrande, Kral location) are reachable by car from the SS52 Carnica.

All events are free, starting at 12:00 PM.
Excursions
