The festival of new Italian music in Perugia
L'Umbria che Spacca is one of the most vibrant music festivals of the Italian summer, born in Perugia in 2014 and grown to become a benchmark for the national pop, rock, indie, and rap scene. Its home is the Giardini del Frontone, the historic tree-lined park in the historic center of Perugia, which hosts the Main Stage for major evening concerts.
The festival is not limited to concerts on the main stage: the program is spread across multiple stages throughout the historic center, including the Galleria che Spacca at the National Gallery of Umbria, as well as a morning Garden Stage and university stages (UniPG, UniStraPG). This choice intertwines great music with the city's urban and cultural dimension.
The lineup alternates national headliners with emerging artists, with a particular focus on the independent scene and new talents. The Coop Music Contest allows bands to earn a spot on the Main Stage. For the city of Perugia and for the entire Umbria region, the festival represents a moment of strong youth and tourist appeal.
The 13th edition of Umbria che Spacca takes place in Perugia from June 24 to 28, 2026, with the Main Stage at the Giardini del Frontone and a program spread across eight stages in the historic center (Main Stage, Garden Stage, Galleria che Spacca, UniPG and UniStraPG stages).
The lineup for the main stage features some of the hottest names in Italian music, from the rap of Ernia and Salmo to the historic rock of Litfiba, and the pop and indie scene with Ditonellapiaga. Several evenings are already sold out.
Artists from the indie and singer-songwriter scene including Marina Rei, Rodrigo D'Erasmo, Margherita Vicario, and Mobrici; the morning Garden Stage and university stages complete the program. The Coop Music Contest gives space to emerging bands.
