The big sports festival for everyone at the Curiel Lakes of Campogalliano
The UISP Day is the annual event with which UISP (Italian Union Sport For All) celebrates social, popular, and inclusive sport. Born in 2024 at Parco Novi Sad in Modena and continuing in 2025 in Piazza Martiri della Libertร in Carpi, the event changes its setting each year: for its third edition, on Sunday 13 September 2026, it chooses the natural setting of the Curiel Lakes of Campogalliano, in the heart of the Secchia River Park, in the province of Modena.
The choice of the Curiel Lakes is no coincidence: the aquatic element allows for the addition of a range of activities to the classic land-based disciplines, which were not possible in Modena and Carpi. Along the shores and on the water, you can try sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddle (SUP), and the spectacular dragon boat, as well as sport fishing. It is this combination of sport, water, and nature that makes the Campogalliano edition particularly evocative.
The guiding principle of UISP Day has always been the 0-99 spirit: no one is too young or too old to move. That's why the event complements the more dynamic disciplines with a play area and environmental workshops for children, and walking routes designed for the elderly, in collaboration with the UISP Modena Wellness Project. The event is made possible with the support of CIP Emilia-Romagna and numerous sports clubs in the area, confirming the strong commitment to inclusion for people with disabilities.
The UISP Day in Campogalliano aims to be a Plastic-Free and Zero Emission event, in line with the focus on protecting water resources and the environment of the Secchia River Park. The day, completely free of charge, concludes with a convivial aperitif open to all in the picturesque setting of the lakes. An opportunity to discover a green corner of the province of Modena and experience sport as a tool for socialising and well-being.
For its third edition, UISP Day leaves the city squares and moves to the natural setting of the Curiel Lakes of Campogalliano, taking advantage of the aquatic element to enrich the sports offerings. The day, organised by UISP Modena with CIP Emilia-Romagna and local sports clubs, is free and concludes with an aperitif open to all.
The day is divided into four thematic areas spread around the lakes, with activities accessible to all age groups.
The day concludes with a final aperitif open to all in the lakeside setting. Detailed schedules for individual activities will be announced by UISP Modena in the weeks preceding the event.
