About Tuscania Mangiami

Every summer, Tuscania Mangiami - Street Food transforms the Viale Trieste Municipal Gardens into a vibrant street food village. For five evenings, from Wednesday to Sunday between late July and early August, food trucks from across Italy serve up a mix of local and international specialties—from lampredotto and porchetta to arrosticini and fried pizza—paired with craft beers, cocktails, DJ sets, and live music. Free entry, ample seating, and a children's play area in the heart of this historic Etruscan town in the Viterbo Tuscia region.

Street food in the heart of Tuscia

Tuscania Mangiami - Street Food is the summer event that brings the very best of Italian and international street food to Tuscania, in the province of Viterbo, Northern Lazio. Organized by GNAM Food Event, a specialist in traveling gastronomic festivals across Central Italy, the event brings five consecutive evenings of life to the Viale Trieste Municipal Gardens, just steps from the historic center of this ancient Etruscan town.

The formula: food trucks, beer, and music

The event follows the proven formula of major mobile kitchen gatherings: trucks, vans, and trailers set up in the public gardens, cooking fresh dishes from 6:00 PM until late. Alongside the food, you will find craft beer stands, cocktail and soft drink bars, a large seating area for comfortable dining, and a dedicated play space for children. Every evening, from sunset onwards, the program features DJ sets and live music, turning dinner into a lively community celebration.

What to eat

The festival menu explores street food traditions from across the peninsula and beyond. In previous editions, visitors have enjoyed:

  • Black Angus burgers and pulled pork
  • Lampredotto and Florentine-style tripe
  • Abruzzese arrosticini and porchetta
  • Tuscan ficattole, fried pizza, and stuffed sandwiches
  • Fried fish and seafood specialties
  • Baked potatoes and assorted fried snacks
  • Desserts like warm bomboloni, mini crêpes, dorayaki, and Thai ice cream

Special attention is paid to all dietary needs: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are always available, ensuring everyone can join in the feast.

A family-friendly event

Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that of a traditional local festival: you only pay for what you consume at the individual trucks. The children's play area and shared tables make the event perfect for families, while the musical evenings attract a younger crowd from across the Tuscia region, including Viterbo and Tarquinia.

Tuscania, an Etruscan and Medieval backdrop

The festival is also a fantastic opportunity to discover Tuscania, one of the most enchanting villages in Lazio. An ancient Etruscan city and later a major medieval center, it boasts the famous Romanesque basilicas of San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore, along with ancient walls, towers, and a charming historic center that offers unforgettable views at sunset. The Municipality of Tuscania hosts a rich calendar of summer events, and Tuscania Mangiami has quickly become one of the most anticipated.

A recent but well-established tradition

Launched in 2024 by GNAM Food Event, the event has grown rapidly. The second edition in the summer of 2025 attracted thousands of visitors with eleven carefully selected street food vendors. The 2026 edition, scheduled from July 29 to August 2, confirms its place in the calendar and the Municipal Gardens as the festival's home.
