About Tuscan Enduro Poppi

Every spring, Poppi, in the heart of the Casentino valley, hosts a round of the FMI Tuscan Enduro and Minienduro Championship. On the hilly terrain of the Upper Casentino, in the province of Arezzo, the Moto Club AM Alto Casentino sets up a challenging course with timed special stages to be repeated multiple times: a highly anticipated event for Tuscan riders and a weekend of sport, engines, and off-road passion.

Tuscan enduro makes a stop in Poppi

Nestled among the woods and hills of the Upper Casentino, the town of Poppi (Arezzo province, Tuscany) is one of the historic venues for the FMI Tuscan Enduro and Minienduro Championship. The Casentino round is organized by the Moto Club AM Alto Casentino, a local motorcycle association that has spent decades promoting off-road riding in the valley that climbs from Bibbiena toward the Apennine ridge.

A true course, in the spirit of enduro

The race takes place on a track laid out on the hilly terrain around Poppi, featuring two timed special stages to be repeated over several laps: the Enduro Test, lasting about five minutes, and the Cross Test on a field, lasting approximately five and a half minutes. Competitors tackle the circuit for three laps, testing their technical riding skills, physical condition, and ability to read the terrain, which can be fast and dry or heavy and muddy after spring rains, depending on the weather.

Two days of engines: minienduro and enduro

The race weekend is traditionally split over two days: Saturday is dedicated to minienduro races, reserved for younger riders and beginners, and Sunday is reserved for the enduro rounds of the regional championship, featuring the various classes provided by FMI regulations (from two-stroke and four-stroke engine displacements to Senior, Major, Ladies, and Guest categories).

Poppi and the Casentino

Set in one of the most evocative corners of Tuscany, dominated by the famous Castello dei Conti Guidi, the Poppi round combines a passion for off-road motorcycling with the beauty of the Casentino landscape. For the town and the Moto Club AM Alto Casentino, the event is a sporting highlight that brings riders, teams, and fans from across the region to the valley, enlivening an entire weekend dedicated to motorsports.

A fixed date on the regional calendar

Included in the calendar of the Tuscany Regional Committee of the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), the Poppi stage is one of the rounds that awards points toward the Tuscan title. Its spring timing, usually in mid-May, makes it one of the most cherished events for off-road enthusiasts in the province of Arezzo.

Tuscan Enduro Poppi โ€” edition 2026

The third round of the 2026 FMI Tuscan Enduro and Minienduro Championship took place in Poppi on Sunday, May 17 (with minienduro on Saturday, May 16), organized by the Moto Club AM Alto Casentino on a course with two special stages repeated over three laps.

The 2026 edition of the Poppi round, valid as the third round of the FMI Tuscan Enduro and Minienduro Championship, took place over the weekend of May 16-17. The enduro race, scheduled for Sunday, May 17, was organized by the Moto Club AM Alto Casentino in the eponymous valley in the Arezzo province. Despite the mud left by the previous days' rain, the race day proceeded smoothly, with the terrain in better condition than expected.

Riders tackled the two special stages โ€” the Enduro Test and the Cross Test on a field โ€” repeated over three laps, in a stage that contributed to awarding crucial points for the regional championship standings.
