The Trout Festival of Cresole is the festival that every year, in spring, celebrates the signature dish of the hamlet of Cresole, in the municipality of Caldogno in the province of Vicenza: the cresolana trout, recognized as a De.Co. product (Municipal Designation). A recognition that certifies the deep bond between this recipe and the gastronomic identity of the town.

A menu centered around trout

The heart of the festival is the food stand, where the cresolana trout De.Co. is the specialty of the evening. The menu is enriched with numerous proposals: fettuccine with trout and asparagus, bigoli with sardines, vegetarian pasta dishes, penne all'amatriciana, trout fillet, fried trout fry, all accompanied by vegetables and polenta, as well as the classic wurstel. To finish, the traditional bussolà De.Co., a typical local dessert.
