The Trofeo GNR is one of the classic amateur cycling events held in Bogogno, a town of just over a thousand inhabitants in the province of Novara, in north-eastern Piedmont. The race is part of the Controgiro circuit, a series of road events reserved for athletes registered with the FCI and recognized sports bodies, and also serves as a stage of the NO/VCO Provincial Championship (Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola).
The event is organized by A.S.D. Agrate Conturbia, a historic local club that upholds the tradition of healthy and genuine amateur cycling, the same group that manages other events on the Novara calendar such as the Trofeo Il Gigante. The Trofeo GNR is a fixed spring appointment for cycling enthusiasts in Upper Piedmont.
The course through the hills
The competition takes place on a circuit of approximately 32 kilometers to be covered twice, for a total of about 64 km crossing the rolling hills and countryside surrounding Bogogno, an area also known for its renowned golf courses. On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Bogogno hosted a new edition of the Trofeo GNR, a road race on the Controgiro circuit and a stage of the NO/VCO Provincial Championship. The meeting point was held from 12:00 PM at the Ristorante Cristal on Via Roma, in the town center.
The race was held on a circuit of approximately 32 km to be covered twice, for a total of 64 km through the hills of the Novara region. The rankings, divided by First and Second Series, were regularly drawn up and published at the end of the event.

Where it takes place
The race is held in Bogogno (NO), in Piedmont. The meeting point is set at the Ristorante Cristal on Via Roma, in the town center, where all categories start and finish.
How to get there
Bogogno is located in the Upper Novara region, easily accessible from the A26 motorway (Borgomanero or Arona exits) and a short distance from Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. The nearest train station is Borgomanero, on the Novara-Domodossola line.
Registration and participation
The race is reserved for cyclists registered with the FCI and recognized sports bodies, in the First and Second Series. Registration is done online via the form provided by the organizers by the day before the race. For updated information, it is recommended to follow the channels of A.S.D. Agrate Conturbia and ACSI Ciclismo Novara VCO.
