The Halloween festival in the heart of Trino
In Trino, a small town in the Province of Vercelli in Piedmont, the scariest night of the year has a name of its own: Trinoween. This Halloween festival is organized by the AOCT, the local merchants' association, and every autumn it involves shops, businesses, and the streets of the historic center in a grand themed game dedicated primarily to children and families.
For Trinoween, the heart of the city around Corso Cavour fills with carved pumpkins, spiderwebs, skeletons, and horror-themed decorations. Shop windows participate in the festivities with spooky displays, creating an evocative trail that little ones can follow in costume, moving from shop to shop in search of treats.
One of the most beloved elements of the Trino editions is the Halloween House: a local home decorated from top to bottom with themed ornaments, which has attracted great curiosity from locals and visitors over the years. Sweets, lights, and chilling settings make it one of the most photographed stops of the evening.
Trinoween is no amateur affair: it is part of the rich calendar of events that animate Trino throughout the year, alongside historic appointments like the Historic Carnival of Trino, the rice gastronomic festival, and Trino DiVino. Designed primarily for children, the event is an opportunity to enjoy an evening of play, costumes, and Anglo-Saxon tradition reinterpreted with a Piedmontese twist, within the welcoming atmosphere of a community that loves to gather in its squares.
Located in the rice-growing plains between Vercelli and the Po River, Trino is a town with a strong identity, rich in history and popular traditions. Events like Trinoween help keep the life of the historic center vibrant and support local commerce, offering residents and visitors one more reason to discover this corner of Piedmont.
For 2026, the Municipality of Trino has confirmed that Trinoween will take place on November 1st in the historic center around Corso Cavour. As in previous editions, the event organized by the AOCT will feature themed decorations, spooky shop windows, the Halloween House, and the traditional trick-or-treating for children in costume.
At the moment, the detailed program, including times and activities, is being updated by the organizers and will be published closer to the event date.
