The Trinacria Music Festival

The Trinacria Music Festival is a summer music event held in Cattolica Eraclea, a town in the province of Agrigento nestled in the hinterland of south-western Sicily. The festival transforms the Kartodromo Minoa into a large open-air gathering dedicated to reggae, dub, and roots music, set in a picturesque landscape overlooking the hills just a few kilometers from the coast.

International Reggae in Sicily

The festival brings together Italian and international artists from the reggae scene, with a special focus on the Jamaican roots of this music. The format features two distinct stages: the main stage dedicated to live reggae, dub, and roots concerts, and a second stage featuring DJ sets. The kart track area also hosts food & drink stalls and official merchandise stands, creating an atmosphere that blends music, social life, and local identity.

The 2026 Edition

The 2026 edition spans two days, August 7th and 8th. The final night, August 8th, is headlined by Alborosie & Shengen Clan: born in Marsala and now based in Kingston, Alborosie is one of the most influential figures in contemporary global reggae. Opening the night are Luciano The Messenjah and Inna Cantina Sound, a sound system very active within the Sicilian scene.

Cattolica Eraclea and the Kartodromo Minoa

The Kartodromo Minoa, located along the SS115 highway at the junction for Minoa, is a local sports and tourism landmark, capable of hosting large open-air events thanks to its spacious grounds. Its location, between Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples on one side and the beaches of the Agrigento coast on the other, makes the festival a perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of inland Sicily while combining music and a summer vacation.
