Two days of sport, solidarity, and fun in the heart of Galliate
There is a spring weekend when Galliate, a populous town in the Province of Novara, Piedmont, gathers around its imposing Castle for a festival that celebrates generosity. This is Triathlons, an event promoted by the Lions Club Novara Ovest Ticino in collaboration with the Pro Loco Galliate and under the patronage of the Municipality of Galliate. The name plays on the concept of "three trials in two days" and the Lions' motto: it is not a competitive sporting race, but a mosaic of activities where sports, games, art, and conviviality mix for a good cause.
The stage is one of the most evocative places in the town: Piazza Vittorio Veneto, right in front of the majestic Castello Visconteo-Sforzesco, a symbol of Galliate and one of the best-preserved 15th-century fortifications in the Novara plains. Here, among the crenellated walls and stalls, initiatives designed for all ages, from the little ones to families, come to life.
Triathlons is above all a participatory event. Throughout the two days, the program includes:
The true engine of Triathlons is solidarity. All proceeds are donated to support Galliate's social associations and organizations: over time, the Asilo Infantile nursery school, the Associazione Genitori Sth, the Associazione Vega, and other local entities have benefited from this support, in addition to service projects typical of Lions Club activities. Born in 2022, the event has grown edition after edition to become a highly anticipated date in the spring calendar of Galliate and the entire Bassa Novarese area.
Triathlons is the ideal opportunity to spend a weekend with the family dedicated to wholesome fun, while discovering one of the most characteristic villages in the Novara area. Every walk, every game, and every shared meal translates into a concrete contribution for those in need: a festival where a smile is worth double.
The 2026 edition of Triathlons confirmed the winning formula of the Galliate event: two days dedicated to sports, fun, and above all solidarity, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto in front of the Castle of Galliate. The program combined artistic, sporting, and playful activities, involving local associations and entities. Once again this year, all proceeds were donated to support Galliate associations, including the Associazione Genitori Sth, the Associazione Vega, and the Asilo Infantile nursery school.
