The major retrospective on Regina Cassolo Bracchi at MANLo in Vigevano
The exhibition "Regina. Brilliant Experimenter" is set up at the National Archaeological Museum of Lomellina (MANLo), housed in the Visconti Sforza Castle of Vigevano, in Piazza Ducale 20, in the Province of Pavia. The exhibition celebrates Regina Cassolo Bracchi, a prominent figure in 20th-century Italian art and one of the few female sculptors of the Futurist movement.
The exhibition brings together 108 works โ 41 sculptures and about 65 drawings and collages โ divided into four thematic sections: the artist's biographical and formative introduction, the innovative use of materials, personal adherence to Futurism, and the relationship with nature through her herbariums. The exhibition thus conveys the complexity of an unconventional artistic research, attentive to light materials and formal experimentation.
Curated by Stefania Bossi, the museum's director, along with Valentina Cane and Michele Tavola, with the support of a scientific committee, the exhibition is promoted as part of the network of National Museums of Lombardy. For the city of Vigevano, it represents a significant cultural event, capable of enhancing both the Castle's heritage and an artistic figure to be rediscovered.
The exhibition "Regina. Brilliant Experimenter" opens on February 26, 2026, at the National Archaeological Museum of Lomellina, in Vigevano Castle. A program of cultural activities accompanies the exhibition until December 2026.
