It takes place in the parish hall of Treiso, a small town in the province of Cuneo perched among the Barbaresco hills in the heart of Piedmont.

Treiso is a hillside village located at the meeting point of five hills, surrounded by the Nebbiolo vineyards that produce Barbaresco wine. It is part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato vineyard landscape, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The parish church of the Beata Vergine Assunta dominates the central square, and right next door, in the parish hall, the Carnival celebration comes to life every year.

Entertainment, juggling, and confetti battles

The heart of the party is the entertainment for children. Among the most anticipated guests are the jugglers Umberto and Elena, who involve the little ones in juggling demonstrations and let them try their hand at the tools of the trade. There is no shortage of face painting, balloon modeling in all sorts of shapes, and the inevitable battles of confetti and streamers that color the afternoon.

The Treiso Carnival is an event promoted by the Municipality of Treiso and made possible by the hard work of many local volunteers who take care of the setup, hospitality, and cleanup.
