Every early August, the Pro Loco of Gaby invites everyone to the table for its Tradizionale Polentata, an outdoor gastronomic festival that smells of the mountains. In the green area of the pine forest at Tzendelabò, immersed in the greenery of the Valle del Lys, you can enjoy a unique dish of polenta and polenta concia, accompanied by sausage, stew, and local cheese, with wine or water. A simple and convivial day that focuses on the most genuine Aosta Valley cuisine and the community spirit of the small Walser village.

A festival of Walser tradition

In Gaby, a municipality with a Walser language and culture in the lower Valle del Lys, in the Aosta Valley, the Tradizionale Polentata is one of the community's most cherished summer events. Organized by the Pro Loco of Gaby, it takes place every year between late July and early August, bringing together residents and holidaymakers around a dish that tells the story of the mountains.

The star dish
