TRAC Festival — an acronym for Teatro, Ricerca, Arte, Circo (Theatre, Research, Art, Circus) — is the contemporary circus festival of La Spezia. Promoted by the Municipality and organized by Teatro Civico and Artificio23, it brings innovative and popular shows to the city under a large big top, in the weeks straddling December and January.
Under the PIN big top
The heart of the festival is the big top set up at the PIN in La Spezia, with entrance from Viale Mazzini. The circus tent becomes a magical place where the audience immerses themselves in high-level acrobatic, theatrical, and visual performances, in an atmosphere made even more evocative by the Christmas period.
National premieres and major companies
TRAC offers a program of contemporary circus shows, often featuring national premieres and international companies, alongside free training workshops (circus music, acrobatics, theatrical comedy). A festival that combines artistic quality and popular appeal, confirming La Spezia as a hub for circus arts in Liguria.
TRAC Festival — edition 2026
The new edition of TRAC Festival is scheduled, as per tradition, in the weeks straddling December 2026 and January 2027, with the big top set up at the PIN in La Spezia.
