About Tra le Androne de Vermei

Tra le Androne de Vermei is the non-competitive fun run held in Vermiglio, in the heart of the Trentino region's Val di Sole. The approximately 5 km route winds through the village's characteristic 'androne' (historic alleys), starting from the scenic San Leonardo Lakes. Open to runners and walkers of all levels and part of the Val di Sole Running Circuit, the event is organized by the Vermiglio Alpini Group in collaboration with the local municipality. A mini-race for children is also included, ensuring a festive atmosphere of alpine sport.

A run through the alleys of Vermiglio

Tra le Androne de Vermei is the annual summer non-competitive running event in Vermiglio, a village in the upper Val di Sole, in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. The event's name comes from the local Solandro dialect, referring to the androne—the ancient alleys and passages that weave between the village houses. Much of the route follows these historic, charming corners, offering participants a unique and fun way to explore the alpine village.

The route and format

The event features a course of approximately 5 km, suitable for both runners and those who prefer a brisk walk. The start is set in the picturesque area of the San Leonardo Lakes, one of Vermiglio's most beloved natural spots, nestled among high-altitude woods and meadows. As a non-competitive event, it prioritizes participation and community spirit over rankings, perfectly in tune with mountain running traditions.

The Val di Sole Running Circuit

Tra le Androne de Vermei is a stage of the Val di Sole Running Circuit, a summer series that brings together numerous non-competitive races across the valley's villages, from Peio to Ossana, Pellizzano to Rabbi, and up to Commezzadura. Each race contributes to the overall circuit standings, enlivening summer evenings in the valley with outdoor sports and the conviviality typical of alpine communities.

Fun for the little ones

Alongside the main event, the organizers host a mini-race for children, with free registration and prizes for all young athletes. It is a great opportunity to involve families and introduce children to running in a festive, welcoming environment.

An event by the Alpini Group

The event is organized by the Vermiglio Alpini Group in collaboration with the Municipality of Vermiglio. The dedication of the local Alpini and volunteers ensures a warm welcome and a genuine atmosphere every year, combining sport with the promotion of the territory and the traditions of Val di Sole.
