Padel enters the district challenge
In Orvieto, the division into districts is not just folklore: it is a competition that runs throughout the year and across many disciplines. The Torneo dei Quartieri di Padel, titled "Trofeo Mamma Angela", is one of the events of this season of challenges, pitting the four historic districts against each other on the courts of the Hangar Padel Experience, in the hamlet of Fontanelle di Bardano, in the Municipality of Orvieto (Province of Terni).
Four Districts, One Passion
On the court, the captains lead the teams of Corsica, Olmo, Stella and Serancia in a schedule of matches that unfolds over weeks. The tournament also includes a youth section for ages 10-16, demonstrating a commitment to involving new generations and making padel an occasion for social gathering, as well as sport.
Sport and Solidarity
Directed by Marco Zappone of Hangar Padel Experience, the tournament is part of the larger Trofeo dei Quartieri and combines the sporting dimension with the social one, involving local organizations such as the Italian Red Cross and the Panathlon Club Orvieto.
Torneo Quartieri Padel — edition 2026
The 5th edition of the Torneo dei Quartieri di Padel, titled "Trofeo Mamma Angela", is played from May 14 to June 4, 2026, at the Hangar Padel Experience in Fontanelle di Bardano. The four district teams are led by captains Alessandro Petrangeli (Corsica), Enrico Custolino (Olmo), Emanuele Paoletti (Stella), and Carlo Radicchi (Serancia). The tournament, directed by Marco Zappone, includes a youth category for ages 10-16 scheduled for May 20 and 26, and supports local organizations such as the Italian Red Cross and the Panathlon Club Orvieto.
