The arts, music, and traditions festival that kicks off summer in Cervino
Torna al tuo Paese is the cultural and musical festival that marks the start of summer in Cervino, a small town in the province of Caserta, Campania. The event was born from a desire to put the community, memory, and local identity back at the center, transforming the squares of the historic center into meeting places where art, music, and folk traditions intertwine. It is an event designed for those who live in Cervino, as well as for those who have left and return, even if just for two days, to reconnect with their roots.
The festival is promoted by the CerMes association, in close collaboration with the Patronal Feast Committee and the Municipal Administration of Cervino. This synergy between the association, the religious committee, and local institutions is the heart of the initiative: a model of grassroots participation that enhances the territory and strengthens the sense of belonging within the Cervino community.
Among the most anticipated moments is the return of Canta Baby, the historic musical festival dedicated to children, created by maestro Vincenzo Piscitelli and absent from the town's squares for nearly ten years. The festival highlights the talent and energy of the new generation, offering children a stage to perform before their community. Its return is a sign of continuity with tradition and a way to involve families in a celebration that speaks to all ages.
The program alternates between different artistic languages. Social theater arrives with a traveling performance created alongside inmates from the Arienzo Prison, an emotional journey that winds through the historic center, restoring the value of inclusion and redemption to the stage. Jazz music resonates in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with the New Orleans and Chicago sounds of the 1920s, while evenings of comedy and Neapolitan folk music fill the squares with joy until late at night.
Cervino is located in the Caserta hinterland, at the foot of the Tifatini Mountains, a land of olive groves and ancient farming traditions. Experiencing Torna al tuo Paese also means discovering an authentic village in Campania, far from the major tourist circuits, where local festivals still preserve the genuine warmth of community life. The festival is free to attend and open to everyone.
The 2026 edition of the festival was held in Cervino (Caserta) on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, opening the town's summer season with two days full of events. The festival, promoted by the CerMes association with the Patronal Feast Committee and the Municipality, intertwined social theater, jazz music, comedy, Neapolitan folk music, and the return of the Canta Baby children's festival. All events took place in the squares and alleys of the historic center, with free admission.
Cervino is located in the hinterland of the province of Caserta. By car, it can be reached from the Caserta Sud exit (A1) and from the provincial roads connecting the capital to the Tifatini Mountains. The reference railway station is Caserta, from which you can continue by bus or car.
The events take place in the squares and the historic center of Cervino, with performances mainly in the evening. Admission is free and open to the public.
