The major regional jazz festival makes a stop at the Parco del Castello in Bruino
The Torino Jazz Festival Piemonte is a festival that takes great jazz music beyond the borders of the regional capital, scattering concerts across dozens of municipalities throughout Piedmont. In Bruino, a small town in the south-western outskirts of the Metropolitan City of Turin, the event takes place in the summer setting of the Parco del Castello, an open-air space that transforms into a live music stage for the night.
Born as a territorial extension of the famous Torino Jazz Festival, this widespread "Piemonte" edition unfolds throughout the entire season, from May to November, with a program that blends jazz, funk, singer-songwriter music, and genre-crossing influences. The idea is simple yet ambitious: to bring jazz to a new audience while showcasing villages, parks, and historic sites that rarely host concerts of this caliber. Bruino thus joins a network of Piedmontese locations — from Asti to Alessandria, from Biella to Racconigi, from Baveno to Vercelli — united by the same musical thread.
The Bruino concert is designed as a convivial summer evening: you arrive at the Parco del Castello at sunset, settle outdoors, and let yourself be carried away by the sound of a big band or an exceptional ensemble. It is the perfect opportunity for those who want to discover jazz in a relaxed and familiar setting, just a few kilometers from Turin, without the formality of a concert hall.
The festival is produced by the Consorzio Piemonte Jazz in collaboration with the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino, with the support of institutional and local partners. The Bruino stop is part of a regional plan that combines artistic quality with local roots, confirming Piedmont as one of the most vibrant Italian regions for live jazz.
The 2026 edition of the Torino Jazz Festival Piemonte is the eighth and spans a long period, from May 8 to November 20, 2026, under the theme "Sconfinando" (Crossing Borders), an invitation to traverse musical genres, geographies, and languages. The stop in Bruino, at the Parco del Castello, is one of the widespread summer events in the Metropolitan City of Turin and treats the audience to an evening of live outdoor music.
The Gianpaolo Petrini Big Band, a 15-piece ensemble active since 1999, takes the stage with the voice of Simona Bencini, best known as the singer of Dirotta su Cuba. The program features an energetic repertoire moving between jazz and funk.
The Bruino concert is one of over twenty stops on the 2026 regional calendar, which brings numerous Italian and international performers to Piedmont, including Fabrizio Bosso, Julian Oliver Mazzariello, Shai Maestro, Enrico Pieranunzi, and others.
