About Ti racconto a Capo

In the heart of the Capo di Leuca, in Corsano, returns "Ti racconto a Capo," the cultural festival that for over fifteen years has brought writers, journalists, and storytellers to the Town Hall and Piazza Santa Teresa. Book presentations, dialogues on current affairs, and author meetings define these Salento evenings, each year enriched by a literary theme. An intimate, high-quality event organized by the Idee a Sud Est association under the patronage of the Municipality of Corsano.

A festival that gives voice to the Capo di Leuca

Ti racconto a Capo is the cultural festival that brings Corsano to life, a small town in the province of Lecce overlooking the extreme tip of Salento, the Capo di Leuca. Promoted by the Idee a Sud Est association with the patronage of the Municipality of Corsano, the event brings writers, journalists, essayists, and storytellers to the town every year for a series of meetings held between the Town Hall and the scenic Piazza Santa Teresa.

Books, dialogues, and current affairs

The heart of the festival lies in its book presentations and dialogues with authors: novels, essays, personal testimonies, and reflections on the present alternate throughout the evenings, always moderated by local journalists and cultural professionals who guide the audience through the conversation. It is not merely a series of lectures, but a journey conceived as a choral narrative, where the written word meets the spoken, and each edition is built around a specific literary theme.

Over the years, "Ti racconto a Capo" has hosted leading voices in Italian culture and journalism, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated events of the cultural summer in the Capo di Leuca. The most recent edition marked its sixteenth year, a testament to the festival's continuity and deep roots in the social fabric of Corsano.

A dialogue between languages

The spoken word is often accompanied by visual art: the evenings are complemented by painting exhibitions and moments of cross-pollination between artistic languages, transforming the town's spaces into a small, open-air cultural laboratory. Piazza Santa Teresa, with its intimate atmosphere and Salento summer evenings, thus becomes the community's living room.

Why it's worth attending

  • Meetings with authors, journalists, and writers of national renown.
  • An authentic setting in the deep Salento, just a stone's throw from Santa Maria di Leuca.
  • Free admission evenings, perfect for those who love books and discussing current events.
  • The opportunity to discover Corsano and the Capo di Leuca away from mass tourism circuits.

For those spending the summer in Salento, "Ti racconto a Capo" is the perfect occasion to combine the pleasure of reading with the experience of an authentic village in southern Puglia.

Ti racconto a Capo โ€” edition 2026

The sixteenth edition of "Ti racconto a Capo" takes place in Corsano from May 30 to July 24, 2026, with four evenings inspired by a quote from Grazia Deledda. Between the Town Hall and Piazza Santa Teresa, guests include Virginia Campanile, Tony Damascelli, Marco Rizzo, and Antonio Polito, featuring book presentations and dialogues on current affairs, accompanied by a painting exhibition by Luana Celeste.

The 16th edition of "Ti racconto a Capo" is inspired by a quote from Grazia Deledda: "Fantasy is a part of reality: the one we see with our eyes closed." Four events between May and July, promoted by the Idee a Sud Est association with the patronage of the Municipality of Corsano, accompanied by the painting exhibition of Luana Celeste.
