The solidarity reuse market in the heart of Fidenza
The Spring Sbarazzo is now an anticipated event in the calendar of Fidenza, a town in the Province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna. It is a large reuse market that transforms the historic center into a widespread market, where private citizens, families, and children can give new life to objects forgotten in closets and cellars.
Among the stalls set up in Piazza Garibaldi and along the streets of the historic center, you can find treasures of all kinds, sold at affordable prices amidst curiosities and unusual items:
The Sbarazzo was created with a dual objective: to promote the culture of reuse and sharing, in an ecological and anti-waste context, and to support the local area. The contribution requested from participants for setting up a stall is in fact entirely donated to charity to local associations and organizations, first and foremost the Fidenza Committee of the Italian Red Cross.
The day is not just about buying and selling: during the event, the Red Cross offers demonstrations and practical first aid training, open to citizens and children, to spread the culture of rescue and life-saving maneuvers. A way to combine fun, awareness, and civic engagement in a single initiative.
The event is promoted by Confesercenti Parma in collaboration with the Municipality of Fidenza and the associations of the city center. The Sbarazzo is traditionally held in both spring and autumn versions, confirming itself as one of the most popular events for lovers of vintage, second-hand items, and good deals in the Bassa Parmense region.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, the Spring Sbarazzo filled the historic center of Fidenza with reuse market stalls. From 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, in Piazza Garibaldi and along the streets of the center, citizens and families offered used items, while children offered games, books, and clothing.
The 2026 edition confirmed its solidarity mission: the participation fee was donated to the Fidenza Committee of the Italian Red Cross and Fattoria di Rebecca. During the day, the Red Cross offered first aid demonstrations and practical exercises, open to citizens and children.
The event is organized by Confesercenti Parma with the Municipality of Fidenza and the Civil Protection of Fidenza ETS-ODV.
