A night of stars, lanterns, and love in the heart of the Soana Valley
The Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy is a national event promoted by the I Borghi più Belli d'Italia association, which lights up over two hundred historic villages across the peninsula with candles, lights, and music on the evening closest to the summer solstice. Ingria, a small jewel in the Soana Valley near Turin, also participates with an evening designed to celebrate love, memories, and the bonds that unite mountain communities.
With just over forty inhabitants, Ingria is one of the least populated municipalities in Italy: a village nestled at an altitude of about 800 meters, consisting of numerous hamlets set among chestnut woods, oak forests, and streams, featuring characteristic houses with lòse roofs, the typical stone slabs of the region. Having joined the Borghi più Belli d'Italia circuit at the end of 2021, it is the ideal setting for those seeking silence, nature, and authenticity just a few kilometers from Turin, in the most genuine part of Piedmont.
The Romantic Night in Ingria is not a grand, spectacular event, but a simple and spontaneous community moment. The invitation is to pause, look into each other's eyes, and dream under the stars, letting yourself be enveloped by the intimate atmosphere of the illuminated village. The organizers' message perfectly captures the spirit of the evening: "Bring your heart, Ingria will take care of the rest."
A free event open to everyone, perfect for couples, families, and travelers who want to discover the poetry of the small towns in the Province of Turin and Piedmont.
