The Path of the Seasons – A Theatrical Nature Walk

The Path of the Seasons is a theatrical nature walk held in Brozolo, a small town in the province of Turin overlooking the hills of the Lower Monferrato, in Piedmont. Promoted by the Amici dei Sentieri Association in collaboration with the Faber Teater company from Chivasso, the event transforms a circular trail in the woods surrounding the village into an immersive stage, where the story becomes a journey and the forest becomes the scenery.

The Faber Teater performance

Conceived by Faber Teater with a script by Francesco Micca and performed by Micca himself alongside Paola Bordignon, the show is a multi-stage walking-reading designed for families and audiences of all ages. The narrative is complemented by experiential moments that invite participants to touch and listen to the plant world, fostering empathy with the trees and plants lining the path. The show is inspired by the life and intelligence of plants, guiding spectators-walkers on a journey of stories, landscapes, and silence.

The route and the environment

The itinerary winds in a loop through the paths and woods surrounding Brozolo, in a territory recognized as a UNESCO MAB Reserve and crossed by the Po Hills Path, of which the Amici dei Sentieri are the custodians. The walk is easy and suitable even for young children, though comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for navigating dirt roads and trails.

A local initiative

The event is part of the activities of the Amici dei Sentieri Association, which has been committed for years to the care and promotion of the trail network between the provinces of Turin, Asti, and Alessandria. "The Path of the Seasons" thus combines the promotion of the Brozolo area and the Lower Monferrato with an original artistic language, capable of helping people rediscover local woods through the lens of theater.
